Amanda was in the hospital when the dance was originally scheduled and she was sad to think that she would have to miss her first dance. Even so, she told Larry, "I'm ok with it .... it's ok." BUT, the terrible winter weather forced a change in the date and to our delight, it was scheduled for this past Saturday night, the 27th. Amanda was available to attend!

She, Caleb and Abby all attended the "Hollywood Red Carpet" themed dance. Amanda joined her female classmates at Molly Totten's house where her parents had graciously offered to host the "getting ready for the dance" time for the girls. Caleb joined the guys for a pre-dance supper and Abby prepared in the home of a friend. Caleb was so handsome and Abby and Amanda both looked so beautiful. It was a very special night - especially for Amanda who was thrilled to be attending her first high school dance - and for all of us who were so thankful to be sharing this wonderful experience with her.
The night was a wonderful success. Everyone had a great time. What a night. What precious memories.
What a wonderful ( heavenly) snow. :)
A grateful mother

awww..I am so happy that Amanda got to attend the dance. She looked so beautiful. They both did. Caleb looked Handsome as well. God works in small ways and he is going to continue to work in bigger ways that you are not going to believe. I am glad that you had a great weekend and everything turned out wonderful.
Love & prayers.

Hey Amanda!
I'm so glad you got to go to the dance!I wouldn't have been able to go to the dance either if it hadn't been postponed. I'm glad it was:-)I loved your dress; it looked so cute on you.;-)

beautiful!
Amanda, you did look absolutely beautiful at the dance. (So did Abby) I, too, think God "iced" the first dance date out just so you could be with us. I was so proud of all the kids that evening. It was so much fun watching everyone have such a great time. The "Hollywood Theme" was over the top - the Student Council did such an incredible job!
We will be praying for you during this next round of treatments.
Love,
Mrs. Schauwecker
