New Numbers

Tuesday was admission day for Amanda; time for her second Mx treatment. The infusion on Tuesday is four hours long, it went fine and again - thankfully - Amanda is feeling no side effects from the drugs.

Yesterday,Wednesday, was the 24 hour chemical count. Amanda and I were a little nervous because they actually chose to do the draw 4 hours earlier than usual. That meant that she had not yet received a dose of her recovery drug (the one that helps to remove this drug from her body).

Fears were calmed and again, God showed us how He is helping our daughter's system to remain strong by bringing back numbers that were wonderful. From an original count of over 1200, in 20 hours Amanda's body had cleared the chemical to a count of 3.19 without the help of a recovery drug.

We are so thankful to each of you for every kind thought and prayer that has a role in our daughter's battle again this cancer...daily we are reminded of the difference it makes. Thank you.

a (very) grateful mother

Hi, Denise. It's Shelley, your newest best friend. :-) Just want to let you know how much we pray for all of you. You have so many who you don't even know who are interceding on your behalf. God has a purpose in everything. He is good. And I know you are seeing His goodness even in the midst of this trial.

Even though I read your site often, I've never sent a posting but do want you all to know that you have been and will continue to be in our prayers. Plus, I wanted to reiterate what Shelley said in her posting about Amanda and all of you being lifted up in prayer by MANY of whom you're not even aware. What a blessing! Our "old" church in Huntsville has Amanda on their prayer list as well as our current church and I'm sure there are many other examples of this also. Amanda, you are AWESOME.....I have to agree. Just remember (even though I don't add postings) that ALL of your family are always in our prayers.
