Almost time to come home

It is Saturday evening and Amanda's long week of chemo is almost complete. She received her last infusion late this afternoon, and assuming that her hydration levels are at an acceptable level, she will be released tomorrow afternoon.

I am thankful to tell you that Amanda has felt well all through this long series. The drug combination that she is receiving does tend to make her feel quite sleepy - as our visitors will confirm. :-) It seems most people found us either just waking up, ready to nap again or curled up together and sound asleep (sorry we missed you Aunt Becky!)

Thank you to each of you who helped to make these days pass more easily for Amanda with your gifts and visits. Playing games with Caleb, Abby & Anna, visits from our extended family, friends from school with Valentine's Day surprises, lunches with her brother Joshua, calls from her cheer squad in Joplin, and even a special overnight stay from her sister, Haley...all of these helped to remind Amanda that she is surrounded by friends and family who love her and are standing with her through this battle.

It meant the world to Amanda (and to her mom and dad).
