That's what we're calling it .... it will be a Houston Summer.
We will fly back tomorrow, and Amanda will do one more round of chemo in Columbia.
Then, Amanda's first treatment day back in Houston is scheduled for Monday, July 9. We will be here 4-7 weeks, depending on how the radiation therapy progresses. It will be at least 4 weeks, but not more than 7.
We're now beginning to try and figure out the logistics of how to best do this. Denise and I will take turns being the one in Houston. Both of us will not be staying all that time here. We know that siblings will be coming down some to stay with Amanda, and Amanda has already asked about friends paying a visit as well. As we understand it now, the daily treatments won't take a long time, so she should have quite a bit of time to learn all about Houston. Also, we've been advised to try and arrange some kind of an apartment since we will be staying here so long ... some place we can cook meals, do laundry, etc.
So ... Houston Summer ... here we come. :-)

Great to hear this, Amanda! Now comes the intrigue of radiation therapy. I remember having it for my brain cancer while in San Antonio. There were Mexican restaurants and eateries every where and I absolutely craved - yes, CRAVED - Italian food! Also, one thing you don't have to worry about: You won't glow in the dark.
