We are back home now from getting another round of chemo administered here locally at the University Med Center. This will be the last time we have this particular type of chemo due to the damage that starts building up to other parts of the body, like hearing and the heart, for example.
In about four weeks we will head back to Houston for lung surgery. We don't have specific dates yet, but will likely be in Houston for a few weeks in February.
The lung surgery is to remove spots that are there and analyze them further so that treatment might be even more specialized.
There is yet another type of experimental chemo that will take place after the lung surgery.

Amanda will be in my prayers for a quick recovery from this chemo, and for "smooth sailing" through her lung surgery. So glad she and Caleb had such a great trip together. The pictures are amazing-they really are worth 1000 words!
Wow, loved the pictures of Amanda amazing us all with her skill and determination to go forward and live life to the fullest! What a wonderful role model she is for all of us!
Prayers continue for the chemo to do it's job, for the upcoming surgery and for Amanda to stay strong........God bless, just someone in Iowa who truly cares....
