Larry has already given the update on our arrival...he was humble in saying that the trip down here went fine...except for a very small break around 5:30 this morning, he drove the whole way and let me and Amanda rest. He did a great job.
We are in the Extended Stay hotel where we stayed before. It has a kitchen and so Amanda and I were able to get to a grocery store and pick up some food. And except for the big "move rooms after we were already all unpacked and moved in" decision, it has been a quiet and fun evening. Amanda has filled this room with Broadway music, computer games and laughter as she and I entertained Larry with our special songs and dances.
One special prayer request...as those of you who walk along with us on this journey are aware, the outcome of tomorrow's scans are huge. But there is one catch...the pain that Amanda feels in her hip is aggravated, and made quite intense by pressure on the area. Most of the scans that she will have tomorrow require that she lie on her back. That is the worst possible position for her to be in. Please, if I may ask, I would request special prayers for her pain level and for her ability to lie still through the scans. In the past we have had scans that were less than desirable when she couldn't lie still. It is really important that we have good scans tomorrow and on Wednesday morning so that the surgeon and the Dr. will have the best possible pictures to make their decisions from. And so I am asking for special prayers that help keep her comfortable enough to lie still through the scanning. She takes a prescription that helps with the nerve pain, but it doesn't completely move it. This is going to need divine intervention.
We have seen it before...we ask for it again...
