We left Columbia early yesterday evening .... had a good drive through the night. Good roads and good weather. The place we are staying has some hurricane evacuees here as well ... but Houston has been sunny until the last couple of hours ... starting to cloud up and we will have showers the next 2 or 3 days. On the way down last night I saw a couple of groups of emergency type workers heading towards the coast. Fortunately Gustav has not turned out to be the monster that Katrina was, and the public was much better prepared and educated this time around.
Amanda's tests and scans start first thing in the morning ... should be a big day.
