Back with Amanda

We left Amanda this morning at about 5:30 a.m. and finally got to see her again at about 9:30 p.m. this evening.

As Denise reported earlier, Amanda came through the surgery very well, and now Denise and I are with her in ICU. Denise and I will stay with her tonight. Amanda will remain sedated until late tomorrow morning, although she did wake up very briefly and Denise and I spoke to her and she smiled.

Because of the gravity of this operation, it is standard procedure for Amanda to be here in ICU. She will likely remain here in ICU for 2 or 3 days.

People were praying for the McDaniel family...everywhere I went.... I went alot of places today... It was a day that is set aside for Bible studies, CFS chapel, staff prayer, CFS soccer and volleyball....You were in the prayers constantly of soooo many.

Casey was able to go to CFS chapel today (yes we took her out of school).

I had a great time spending time with Anna today... I also enjoyed eating dinner with grandma, Abby, and Caleb.

WE will continue to pray pray pray

Praying every time God woke me during the night, and continuing to pray this morning. May many, many, many good days ahead be your portion.

We don't have internet at home so I was eager to see the blog today. We are so thankful that all went well. Amanda and the rest of your family are in the minds and hearts of so many. Praying throughout the day and together when we can. We stand on the promises of a loving Lord to work all of this together for her good as well as the rest of your precious family. We are humbled by the testimony your all are living out.
Love and Prayers,

"...she did wake up very briefly and Denise and I spoke to her and she smiled." Would we expect anything less from our dear Amanda!?

Thanks guys for keeping us up to date so frequently. I am certain that the number of people who post comments here is but a mere fraction of those who are lifting each of you before our Father.

May his grace; may his mercy; may his peace continue to be with you.

You don't know me but just to let you know that from Colorado I'm lifting your family up to God's throne of grace for help and mercy in this time of need.
