The team at M.D. Anderson wants Amanda to go through one more round of the same chemo she just finished (mostly an outpatient thing, and can all be done locally). Once that is completed and the counts are back up, we will then be traveling to M.D. Anderson, and will be there at least one week, and perhaps several more, depending upon the results from multiple tests during the first week we are there. We do not yet know (nor does anyone else) what procedures will take place at M.D. Anderson. They take a very thorough multidisciplinary approach, and based upon the results of a full week of additional tests and consultations when we get there, decisions will be made on how to continue.
At this point I would "predict/guess/speculate/etc." that the first day Amanda's counts would allow us to make an appointment at M.D. Anderson would likely be Monday, June 11.
And finally, Amanda has a new puppy. It's name is Daisy Mae. Denise calls it DIZZY Mae, because sometimes it acts like it's a few fries short of a happy meal. Regardless, it seems to be a very mild-mannered and loveable puppy, and Daisy/Dizzy/etc. is quickly making her own special place in our home ... actually, several places ....
