Labs

Amanda and I returned to the CBCU this morning for follow-up lab work. Our results held mixed information.

Amanda's blood (white) count has risen well and is back to safe levels. Unfortunately, her platelet count is still low and with our upcoming flight to Houston for post-surgical scans and check ups, they do not want to risk her flying with low platelet counts.

Amanda was able to return to school on Tuesday and so I will be heading down there to pick her up and return her to the CBCU for an additional transfusion.

We journey on...

As you "journey on", remember that you do not journey alone. All of us who check in on our computers, who have come to love Amanda and her family through this website, journey with you. We carry you in our hearts and our prayers as we go about our days, trusting God to hold you close, to lift you up, to surround you with His peace and to supply you with abundant graces....

Amanda's journey has become a part of my life, I check in almost daily to see how she is doing and have developed such an admiration for her strength, her joy, her smile, her heart....Her family.....
