Thursday began with the preparation for the third procedure.
Thankfully, as with the previous two, the Dr. was very pleased with how the procedure went and how Amanda did. Three procedures in two days is difficult for anyone and by afternoon, we needed assistance from the pain team in order to help Amanda get comfortable. Thankfully, they found the right combination for her and she was able to get the rest she needed. Beginning early this morning, everyone came in to make certain that she was doing well. We are so thankful for their care and attention. At 10:30 I sent this text to our family...
Seen every doctor. Talked to every pain medic. Bought some kolaches. Signed the paperwork and she is OUT! Heading now to the hotel for comfy beds and lots of pillows!
Our exit was became a special adventure in its self involving a policy delay, an Astros baseball player with a teddy bear and me dashing down the halls of MD Anderson. But it made for special memories and a some good laughs.
We are so thankful to have these days (and procedures) now behind us. We are looking forward to getting some healing rest and passing the time until Monday's post procedural appointments.
Special thanks to each of you who continue to walk this journey with us. May God honor your faithfulness on our daughter's behalf.

Once again, amazing. May you all rest well in the soft, comfy beds. Jodie
Have you considered transferring to a St. Louis hospital so a Cardinals player could visit?
Hope you are home soon, thankful to have all procedures accomplished and grateful to wrap your arms around the rest of the family for Christmas.
God is very much there with you, at every appointment and even in the midst of Amanda's pain, He will never leave you orphaned or alone...
Praying angels around you, above and below you...Asking God to provide grace upon grace to see you home...
