Just wanted to let everyone know how thankful we were for your prayers while Amanda was receiving chemo. We are so happy to be back home and I am pleased to tell you that she is feeling better and re-gaining a little more strength with every passing day.
Labs on Thursday reminded us again of how difficult chemo treatments are...Amanda's white blood count and hemoglobin levels are so low that she rated a "0" when they calculated her ANC counts. As we were told..."she is down in the basement" in the house of lab levels. Ugh.
So, since she is at such a high risk for infections, we are spending most of our spring break hanging around home. We will have lab work done again on Monday morning and hopefully will see signs that her counts are rebounding. She will not be cleared to return to school until they are, and she is really looking forward to getting back to school with her peers.
But at least we are home...and after being away so much, home is a really nice place to be.

I pray that Amanda's lab counts will rebound by Monday and that she can get back to school and friends. I know they all miss her so much!

We too pray the counts will be up Monday. We are glad she has rebounded somewhat and continue to be amazed at her strength and determination. (as well as yours and Larry's too). Hopefully the next round won't be so hard for her.

Amanda, I have been leaving myself little notes as reminders to pray for you. The more I pray for you, the more encouraged I am by you!
So happy, but not surprised, to hear that Amanda is rebounding. She has a heart of gold and a comeback spirit that blows us all away. I will be lifting her up in prayer asking for her blood counts to be restored...
Bless Amanda Lord, bless her family, bless her friends, and shower them in Your Grace.........
Take care, prayers will continue....
